בדיחַ

בְּדַח, בְּדִיחַ(denom. of √דח, v. דְּחַהּ; cmp. בִּזְרָא) to be cheerful. Targ. Y. Ex. 18:9; a. fr.Ber.30b, a. fr. ב׳ טובא was very cheerful. M. Kat. 17a בְּדִיחָא דעתאי I feel happy. Sabb.77b.Ḥull.32a לא הוה בדיחנא ביהוכ׳ I could not make light of my uncle so as to ask him (Ar. ed. pr. בדיקנא). Pa. בַּדַּח to cheer up, make laugh. Taan22a, v. בָּדוֹחָא. Ned.51a have I not cautioned thee דלא תבדחן not to make us laugh? Ib. 50b bot. תבדיחן (En Yaak. תבדחן).
